Carpathian German Museum, Library and Archive

An overview of the three former German settlement areas in Slovakia (Bratislava, Hauerland and Spiš) is provided by historical maps and current photographic documentation. In various sections, the museum shows the cultural history, the end of the war, the expulsion, the reconstruction and the new beginning. Traditional costumes and household items are also presented in a folklore collection. The fine arts of the time are reflected in works by Master Paul von Leutschau and the painter Herta Ondrusová-Viktorin.stop: Schlossplatz (Durlach)
