Karlsruhe Trade Fair Center
The Karlsruhe Trade Fair Centre, which opened in 2003, presents itself on 52,000 m² of hall space and 10,000 m² of outdoor area - with state-of-the-art infrastructure, exemplary functionality and award-winning architecture.
Four light-flooded exhibition halls including the dm-arena for up to 14,000 visitors, an all-round glazed action hall, the green atrium: Karlsruhe Trade Fair Centre offers ideal conditions for innovative events. Whether an international trade fair with thousands of visitors or an exclusive event with a hand-picked audience, whether a specialist congress or an open-air event.
In 2000, the office of "Eckhard Gerber Generalplanung" (Gerber Architekten) won the competition to build the New Karlsruhe Trade Fair Centre. The trade fair building, which was built between 2001 and 2003 and is characterised by a seemingly weightless roof, is designed to invite people to the trade fair and its events. The open-plan buildings, which comprise four symmetrically arranged exhibition halls, make it easier for exhibitors and visitors to find their way around. A special feature of the Neue Messe is the landscaped lake and garden courtyard, which can be seen at the entrance and form the centre of the exhibition halls.
