The BOX can be used for various events such as workshops, concerts and lectures and is particularly suitable for this due to its special equipment. The unique atmosphere of the cinema bar, surrounded by old projectors, also invites you to enjoy drinks and cocktails.
The Kinemathek's programme includes a diverse selection of remarkable feature films and documentaries from current production, auteur films, film classics, silent films as well as experimental and avant-garde films. These films often do not find a place in the regular programme of other cinemas.
In addition, the Kinemathek cooperates with various organisations in the city to present films in collaboration with local institutions. This enables the audience to experience a broad spectrum of cinematic works and at the same time gain insights into local themes and initiatives.
With the young cinematheque, a programme of films for children, young people and families, even the youngest guests will find a wide range of entertainment to suit their preferences.
