Kochrad Karlsruhe

Once a week, the cooking wheel travels to the market square in Karlsruhe, where the evening market takes place on Wednesdays from 5 - 7 pm. There, market visitors can chop, cook, exchange ideas and learn from and with each other together with the local cookery team. Simple but sophisticated dishes are prepared using seasonal and regional food from the weekly market. The programme also addresses nutritional issues: Nutrition has an impact on the climate. With the Karlsruhe Cooking Wheel, visitors embark on a quest to find out how enjoyment and saving the climate go together.

The Karlsruhe Cooking Wheel is a project of the non-profit organisation Junior Slow Karlsruhe e.V. and is funded as part of the National Climate Protection Initiative of the Federal Ministry for the Environment.
