St. Stephanis the oldest catholic church in Karlsruhe. It was built byFriedrich Weinbrenner as a parish church in 1814.

Beschreibung

The grand duke Karl-Friedrich gave the Catholics a place of worship in the Erbprinzenstraße. The church was dedicated to St. Stephan in honour of Princess Stephanie, an adoptive daughter of Napoleon. The princess joined the catholic community after her marriage. The church has been undergoing restoration and renovation since early 2011.
