Kunstbibliothek der Staatlichen Kunsthalle Karlsruhe
The art library of the Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe originates from the book collection of Margravine Karoline Luise von Baden and is one of the largest museum libraries in Germany. The collection focuses on general works on art history, painting and graphic art as well as exhibition, collection and art trade catalogues from all over the world.
Beschreibung
The library is a reference library which, due to the closure of the main building for refurbishment, can be found in the new, air-conditioned administration rooms of the Kunsthalle at Hermann-Veit-Straße 6 on the first floor. The collection is almost completely accessible via the online catalogue(https://bsz.ibs-bw.de/kuka) and currently comprises around 180,000 media. In addition, there are over 1,000 periodical titles, of which around 220 are currently in circulation. Two computer workstations and 14 reading workstations as well as free Wi-Fi are available. A scanning tent facilitates digitisation with your own smartphone and copies in black and white and colour up to Din-A-3 are available for a fee.
