mint - Gastronomy at the ZKM

The mint is located in the atrium of the ZKM (Centre for Art and Media in Karlsruhe). You can celebrate your event with us at the mint or hire larger rooms and conference rooms as well as the associated conference technology from the ZKM. Events with block and banquet seating for up to approx. 500 people or up to 800 people as a standing reception are possible at mint. Whether finger food, snacks, a menu served at the table or buffets for birthdays, family and company celebrations, conferences, congresses and anniversaries - mint looks forward to being your host. We offer you sophisticated, healthy and fresh cuisine. We use seasonal ingredients, mainly from the region. A healthy balance between meat, fish and vegetarian dishes is important to us. Of course, we also offer gluten-free and lactose-free dishes on request and label them accordingly. Our culinary offer for your event - individually planned.Your event can take place within our opening hours or, if there are a certain number of people, outside our opening hours. You can also visit us and the ZKM during regular opening hours. We change our lunch menu every week and offer soups, snacks, salads, pasta and classic dishes - with a modern twist. Freshness is particularly important to us... because you can taste freshness. We believe in the principle that good food is home-made. That's why we make most of our dishes ourselves - from spreads, chutneys and herbal salt to jams, muesli and chocolates - with great attention to detail. Many of our drinks are also homemade: hot chocolate, lemonades, iced tea and smoothies. This is complemented by our in-house patisserie: the entire sweet range is created in our own bakery: Tarts, cakes, sweet bites, desserts, chocolates and much more. Our daily specials are predominantly vegetarian. Meat can be ordered with some dishes on request, and we also offer some sweet and savoury dishes as vegan options. We value our animal friends, which is why we choose our animal products carefully. The ingredients and food we use are sourced locally from small local suppliers... because good things are so close.
