Haunted theatre - the special way to experience theatre. A theatre project at the interface between theatre and psychology.
The Spuktheater was founded by Ulrich Meyer in 2006. It has been located on the site of the old slaughterhouse in Karlsruhe since 2010. For a long time, it was the smallest theatre in Germany with only 12 guests. As the theatre landscape in Germany is constantly changing, it is possible that this is no longer the case. However, it is probably still the smallest theatre in Germany.
In this special form of theatre, the audience is part of the story, in the middle of it, not just an uninvolved recipient.
In the old cold store in Karlsruhe, Radalou, the evening's host, opens the door to a world that appears to be somewhat different from the one we know. Delicate, subtle hauntings and inexplicable phenomena occur.
What causes these phenomena? Are ghosts really at work, or is there a sophisticated psychological mechanism at work here?
