With communication design, product design, media art, exhibition design and scenography as well as art studies, media theory and media philosophy, the HfG presents itself as a special type of art academy, which has developed increasingly in Europe, the USA and Japan since the early 1990s.
What all degree programmes have in common is the interdisciplinary project work that has been practised from the very beginning. The HfG's teaching concept thus enables students to optimally combine theory and practice.
